The Woodruff Foundation was established in 1986 to enhance, through financial support, the development and delivery of mental health services and chemical dependency treatment in Ohio’s Cuyahoga County. The updated logo is based on a half flower icon that has been used since the foundation’s inception. It was a simple revision that included choosing modern, opposing colors to represent the two very challenging issues in society. The four petals denote Woodruff’s four focus areas: treatment, education and prevention, coordination of resources, and research. By turning the half flower icon on its side, it becomes indicative that nothing is ever ordinary when dealing with behavioral health issues.
