SP Mount Printing 150th Anniversary

SP Mount Printing, a family-owned printing company located in Cleveland, Ohio, celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2017, presenting the perfect opportunity to create a fresh identity to take the company into the next century.

In addition to the new identity, an announcement was produced to recognize SP Mount’s anniversary and introduce the new identity. To connect with their history of letterpress printing from the late 1800s, SP Mount commissioned an original letterpress poster to give to their loyal customer base. A tonal imprint image of the poster is used on the cover of the announcement, sharing a glimpse of the gift to come. The backside displays an original portrait of Seely P. Mount, the company’s founder. The poster showcases today’s modern off-set printing techniques, contrasting the simple artistry of letterpress printing.
