Saint Ignatius High School Ignatius Men Forever

Founded in 1886, Saint Ignatius High School is a private Roman Catholic, Jesuit high school for young men and remains in its original location in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio.

When challenged to raise $40 million of capital, the school chose the maxim Men for Others, a shared motto of the Jesuits, and connected to a target audience with a very strong and passionate legacy. In developing the campaign tag line, OhG capitalized on this legacy and stated the undeniable that all alumni are, and always will be Ignatius Men Forever. Based off this brand, a campaign logo and identity materials were created to use throughout the four-year campaign. The logo depicted two stylized crosses, which were similar to a border detail found on the school’s original structure. The crosses represented the campaign’s two principal benefactors – the school’s endowment fund and a new performing arts building fund. The colors used within the identity were based off the building architecture and one of the school colors, blue.
