Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center (CHSC) has a long and remarkable history of helping individuals with communication challenges become independent members of the Greater Cleveland community. Founded in 1921, it is the nation’s oldest hearing and speech center and offers care to all Northeastern Ohioans who have special communication needs by providing rehabilitation, education, and support.
In need of a new, larger space, the organization’s Strong Voice, Sound Tomorrow campaign aimed to raise over $16 million for a new headquarters and to ensure continued and future success. OhG created the campaign tag line, Strong Voice, Sound Tomorrow, to speak directly to the Center’s constituents. A campaign logo with identity materials was then designed to use throughout the four-year campaign. The logo resembles the glass walls of the new building as well as a stylized sound bar spectrum. We used light blue as it embodies calmness and responsibility, combining it with a strong dark brown to add a “sense” of stability and structure.
To go along with the identity materials, a campaign brochure was produced featuring an oversized pullout architectural drawing showing the completed design of the new building. Heartwarming, personal testimonials from the Center’s diverse clientele were included to inspire the many benefactors whose donations were so very important to the campaign’s success.
The invitation to the new Center’s groundbreaking focused on the donor and the location of the new building. You are Here, Breaking Ground became the invitation theme, highlighting the very important point of the “ground breaking” effect that the donors made through their generous gifts.
