Stanka Kordic is a Cleveland-based artist who is nationally recognized for her original oil portraits. Her figurative paintings and drawings are often described as ethereal and mysterious, containing elements of abstraction combined with heightened realism.
As Stanka’s art took off so did the need to create her brand. We began with the design of a logo that she wanted to represent her personally. Connected to her Croatian roots, we used her name, Stanka, as inspiration. Denoting “cat,” it became the obvious and primary visual component in the design. An illustrative cat with the tail replicating an “S,” has a fanciful appearance, similar to one of Stanka’s brushstrokes.
Upon completion of the logo, multiple stationary pieces – each displaying a unique, screened-back portrait from her collection of paintings – were produced on a textured paper, giving it the appearance of canvas.
