Growing Up Marie

Cleveland author Marie Anselmo’s debut memoir, “Growing Up Marie,” takes readers on a journey of what she thinks is her very ordinary life. Her candid recollections from childhood to adulthood, mixed with a touch of humor, make it a delight to read. The design, which incorporates allegorical images along with excerpts for each short story infused with a palette of pastel colors, creates a heart-warming, relaxing stroll through life with Marie. She concludes with a token of good advice, “Buy Your Own Tutu”… because no one else will. It is a narrative that everyone can relate to, making it an “extra”ordinary book.
